Laser treatments, which have become quite popular recently and are frequently used for hair removal, yield successful results in some skin problems. Fractional carbon dioxide lasers, when applied in multiple sessions, are known to have beneficial effects in treating sunspots, skin discoloration, stretch marks, reducing or preventing superficial and deep acne scars, surgical scars, reducing superficial wrinkles, and improving skin firmness. Diode lasers are also highly successful in treating varicose veins, particularly around the nose and sometimes other parts of the body, as well as spider angiomas, which are vascular lesions located under the skin. These types of laser treatments do not require any anesthesia beforehand. The procedure is performed in an outpatient setting, following the application of a local anesthetic cream, after which the patient can resume their daily life. We recommend steroid ointments and sunscreen after these procedures.
